Supervisor candidates field questions at first of three public forums

Two candidates for the District 3 seat on the Adams County Board of Supervisors fielded questions from voters at a public forum Friday, marking the first of three local candidate forums to be hosted by area organizations before the primary election May 13.

Jim Kostal of Ayr, Jennifer Czekai of Ayr and Bill Johnson of Roseland are running as Republican candidates for the District 3 seat which will be vacated by current supervisor Jack Hynes this fall.

The candidate forums are sponsored by the Hastings League of Women Voters, the Hastings Retired Teachers Association, the Hastings Area Chamber of Commerce and the YWCA, and are designed to give the officials the opportunity to discuss their position on local issues.
