Hastings High tennis beats Columbus

The Hastings High girls tennis team hasn’t let the frequent windy conditions this season bother them that much.

On another cool, windy day Tuesday, the Tigers defeated Columbus 5-4 in their second home meet of the season.

“I thought we played pretty good, considering the wind was blowing pretty hard,” said Hastings High Coach Derek Williams. “This year, they’ve really learned how to play with the wind, so that’s always a positive thing. Coming in with only one loss, I think we’ve really turned it up this year, and we’re doing pretty good.”
