HC men fall to 6th in GPAC

The Hastings College men’s golf team was on a roll to start the month of April. The Broncos finished second out of 11 teams at the Northwestern invite April 8 and first out of 17 teams at the Wild West invite Friday.

HC returned home to host the third GPAC qualifier at Lochland Country Club, but the Broncos could not keep that momentum going.

Hastings College finished sixth Monday, tallying a team score of 311, while Nebraska Wesleyan won the competition with a 296.

“It’s disappointing because, I think, when you play at home, especially with the kind of talent we have, you expect to finish near the top. If you look at those scores, we’re right in the middle of the pack,” said the Broncos’ head coach Lloyd McIntyre.
