Tigers shutout Vikings


The Class B No. 5 Hastings High boys soccer team picked up its tenth win of the season with a 3-0 decision over rival Northwest on Thursday at Hastings College's Lloyd Wilson Field.

Rudy Escobar displayed his speediness and playmaking ability by netting two goals, bringing his season total to nine. Austin Glover added his first goal of the season, assisted by Phillip Pedroza.

Goalkeeper Christian Lomax nabbed his seventh shutout of the year, stopping four Northwest shots. HHS (10-3) had 28 shots in the match.
