HHS falls in shootout

The month of April started out well for the Class B No. 5 Hastings High boys soccer team. The Tigers won their first seven games of the month before falling to Lexington on April 17.

HHS bounced back with a 3-0 victory over Northwest, but the Tigers took a step backwards on Saturday.

Hastings High fell to Columbus in a shootout on a windy day to drop to 10-4 on the season.

“Showing up today, we lacked some assertiveness and the want to be successful throughout the game. It really showed,” said HHS head coach Mike Nanfito.
