AYR — One old Adams Central school district building has been sold and the other may be torn down.

Both Ayr and Tri-View school buildings were shut down at the end of the 2011-12 school year and have sat vacant for the past year.

On Saturday, the Ayr School building, surrounding property, playground equipment and surplus school supplies were all sold in a public auction. Meanwhile, the Tri-View School was put up for auction through a silent bid process but the district received no bids and may have to be torn down, Adams Central superintendent Shawn Scott said this morning.
