Adams Central task force discusses elementary facilities

A group of Adams Central patrons meeting for the second time shared their hopes and fears Wednesday about trying to build a consensus over what to do with the elementary facilities in the school district.

The task force, which met last time at Juniata Elementary, met Wednesday at Wallace Elementary where the group learned more about the district’s finances and got a glimpse of the Wallace school.

But, before they could get that far, facilitator Don Fritz started by reminding the patrons that they were there to help the board find direction with regard to “facilities needed to meet the future educational needs of our students,” according to the board’s resolution passed in May.

In that same resolution, the board stated that it wanted to sustain long-term financial stability, be responsive to patrons of the district and help the community to reach a consensus to meet those facility needs.
