Kids learn the art of glass

Larry Roberts explains how to paint glass etchings to
students Wednesday at the YWCA.

Three boys ages 10 to 11 worked quietly at a long table Wednesday with X-Acto knives to cut small pieces of paper.

There’s not much laughing or joking, just quiet concentration as the three boys work on their separate pieces.

Girls and boys at other tables, similarly as quiet, worked on glass etchings during a camp on glass etching for youth this week at the YWCA Adams County.

“I think it’s pretty hard cutting out all these little ones, but once I get over here I think it will be a little easier,” said Tyson Kerr, 10, of his jaguar’s spots.
