More than 10,000 Kool-Aid mugs sold

Kool-Aids mugs wait to be sold during Kool-Aid Days Saturday.

If the amount of Kool-Aid mugs sold are any indication, then this weekend's Kool-Aid Days was a pretty successful event.

In all, more than 10,000 Kool-Aid mugs were sold during the three-day event that started Friday afternoon and ended Sunday at Lake Hastings.

"It was a great weekend. The weather was perfect," said Pam Bohmfalk, president of the Kool-Aid Days board, this morning. "We had great crowds and great participation in all our events. Everybody I talked to was having a good time."

Jody Jacobi, a member of the Kool-Aid Days committee, said the 2013 Kool-Aid Days color and color-changing mugs, which totaled 9,600, were sold out by 7 p.m. Saturday during the concert.

Old mugs were brought in from past years and between sales Saturday night and at Lake Hastings Sunday, another 700 mugs were sold.
