AC task force discusses elementary challenges

Handicap accessibility issues, no gymnasium and multiple buildings are just a few of the challenges facing two Adams Central elementary schools, according to a group of patrons who are evaluating all three buildings within the district.

On Monday, the Adams Central School Facilities Task Force discussed the strengths and challenges of both Wallace and Adams Central East elementary schools.

The task force toured Wallace at its Aug. 6 meeting and toured AC East on Monday.
Don Fritz, a consultant with the FGR Group of Lincoln who is the group’s facilitator, said part of understanding what the district needs educationally in terms of facilities for the future is recognizing the strengths and weaknesses of each of the elementary buildings.

The committee explored Juniata Elementary and discussed its strengths and weaknesses at a meeting in July.
