Melon Roast car show to fill Brickyard Sunday afternoon

The 2014 Melon Roast car show is shaping up to be a good one.

The show — noon to 4 p.m. Sunday in Brickyard Park — is organized by the Hastings Melon Roasters Car Club. Registration is 10 a.m. to noon.

“We’re looking forward to a very good show this time because we’ve had inquires from out of state,” club president Dave Schawang said. “We’ve had inquires from Kansas, from Iowa and Colorado.”

Entrance to the Melon Roast is free to the public, although there is a registration fee for participating vehicles.
