Students move into new digs

The smell of fresh paint and new furniture greeted many Hastings College students as they moved onto campus Friday during the start of New Student Days.

Over the summer, Hastings College spent $6 million to remodel Bronc and Babcock residence halls while minor updates were also made in Taylor Hall. All three dorms house underclassmen.

"They were in serious need of renovations and they're iconic residence halls," said HC president Don Jackson. "I lived in Bronc when I was here in the 1960s, and Babcock was built a few years after I left."
