State Fair: A different kind of chip

GRAND ISLAND — Sometimes chocolate or white chocolate chips just don’t cut it.

That’s why 10-year-old Brianna Kuehn of Heartwell decided to experiment with packets of Jell-O and almond bark to create different flavors of cookie chips. Her creation was named grand champion of the junior food technology division at the Kearney County Fair and was entered in the Nebraska State Fair in Grand Island.

“They really are pretty tasty,” Brianna’s mother Vatisha said.
