Snake rattles Hastings College golfer

While practicing at Southern Hills Golf Course early this
month, Hastings College freshman spotted this large
rattlesnake.

During practice at Southern Hills Golf Course earlier this month, Hastings College freshman golfer Alexa Ruwe deliberately left her ball sitting on the hole 7 green.

That’s because the Omaha-native was a little shaken to find a rather large snake moving toward her ball.

After snapping a quick photo, the frightened golfer got in her golf cart and fled never thinking much more about it.

The photos she took on her iPhone may have been small but when Hastings College girls golf coach Pete Dudley enlarged one to see the snake better, he couldn’t believe his eyes.

“I could tell right away it was a rattlesnake,” Dudley said.
