The offensive woes continue for the Hastings High softball team.
The Tigers lost their home opener 8-0 to York in six innings Tuesday at the Smith Softball Complex for their third shutout this season. HHS co-head coach Ashley Speak said her team couldn’t get anything going from the plate against the Class B No. 9 Dukes (5-0).
“We really need to work on our timing. We’re just off or behind the ball or we’re chasing pitches out of the zone,” Speak said. “That’s something we really need to focus on.”
