The Hastings High tennis team has had to face some adversity early in the new season. Rain cut short one of the Tigers' duals and canceled a tournament.

So Thursday's home dual against McCook was the first competition the Tigers have been able to finish all year. But it did not play out the way HHS coach Roger Sunderman had hoped.

The Tigers fell to McCook 8-1 on Thursday at the Hastings High tennis courts. Sunderman said his team seemed to not be in the competition mentally.
