Council approves commercial rezone

An area that has been targeted as potential commercial space for several decades will be occupied by a chiropractor's office within the next year following Monday's approval of the Hastings City Council.

Alan Anderson owns three lots on North Shore Drive, just west of Osborne Drive West, near the entrance to the Lake Hastings residential neighborhood and opposite the Adams County Convention and Visitor Center.

Anderson and his son, Corey Anderson, were granted their request to rezone the second lot of the plat from R-1 urban single family residential to C-O, commercial office planned district at the City Council meeting Monday.
