Pam Boyd of Hastings received an early Christmas gift about two weeks ago.
Disappointment turned to delight when a stranger gave her a car to replace one that had been stolen.
The ordeal started on Dec. 5.
Boyd had started her 1991 Caprice Classic to warm up as she finished getting ready for work at 4:30 a.m. A few minutes later, she heard the engine rev up. She looked outside and she saw the vehicle speeding away.
"It was a good car, too," Boyd said. "It started right up every day."
