The Hastings Parks and Recreation Department is once again planning to create a temporary ice-skating rink for citizens.
Superintendent Jeff Hassenstab said that after some of the department's full-time employees return from holiday vacation, they will attempt to put up a rink in the southwest corner of Crosier Park at 13th Street and Pine Avenue.
"We have a liner that we could fill with water and let it freeze," he said. "It would be a nice little ice skating rink."
