Hastings College junior guard Brady Lollman remembers what happened the last time Briar Cliff came to town. The Chargers dominated Hastings in a 74-58 win.
Lollman and the Broncos made sure that didn’t happen again.
Lollman scored 18 points to lead the Broncos to an 88-69 win over the NAIA Division II No. 25 Chargers Saturday afternoon at Lynn Farrell Arena.
“Last year, Briar Cliff came in here and got us by 20,” Lollman said. “The guys who played last year remembered that. We think they’re in the top half of the conference. So beating them, especially like that, shows that we might be a team to be reckoned with.”
After Saturday’s 19-point win, which improved the Broncos to 11-2 overall and 4-2 in the GPAC, HC coach Lance Creech had little to find fault with in how his team played.
