Wildcats down Mustangs

ROSELAND — The Silver Lake Mustangs are still in search of their first victory of the season after falling to Axtell Wildcats 55-33 on Tuesday.

The score was much closer than the outcome reveals, especially in the first half. Mustangs' Head Coach Terry Bauer plays six players regularly in his rotation, and against a bigger, deeper team, the Mustangs held their ground.

Freshman forward Dakota Jameson provided instant spark as he scored six of the Mustangs 10 points in the first frame. The Wildcats (2-1) held a 14-10 advantage through one quarter.
