The Adams Central Patriots are still in search of their first win of the season after falling Thursday to Kearney Catholic 66-42.
The Stars, 4-0, last season's runner-up in Class C-1, used a 16-5 run late in the first quarter and into the second quarter to take a 29-15 lead, all but securing the victory.
The first half was littered with fouls and free throw attempts. Early on, neither team could get into much of an offensive rhythm. Both teams were in the double bonus penalty early in the second quarter and there were 37 combined free throw attempts between the two teams.
