AC girls falter in final minutes

The Adams Central girls basketball team has been in a giving mood since the basketball season began last Friday.

In a whirlwind opening week that featured five games in eight days, capped off by a meeting with Centura Friday at home, turnovers have kept the Patriots out of the win column.

Despite a gutsy, back-and-forth effort with the Centurions (2-3), those giveaways occurred too often once again. Adams Central (0-5) had 23 turnovers, none more fatal than the three it had in the final minutes of a 53-45 loss.
