BLUE HILL —Leading 32-30 with a minute left to play in the fourth quarter, the Blue Hill girls basketball team couldn’t keep its game against the Eagles from going into overtime.
But the Bobcat defense, which had been solid throughout the contest, rose to the occasion in the overtime period.

The team held the Eagles scoreless in the four-minute period to secure a 42-32 victory Thursday night.

“We started in the trap defense, and we had a little luck with it. We found some ways to get them trapped, and it gave (Wood River) some trouble,” Blue Hill coach Tim Streff said.

“We’re a pretty good defensive team and a good rebounding team. Those are two areas where you should be good every night. That’s an effort thing. If we can combine offense to our game, we’ll be pretty good.”
