Warriors defeat Cardinals 44-31

HARVARD — Much like the girls varsity game beforehand, Red Cloud turned up the defensive intensity in their 44-31 win against Harvard on Friday.

In the first half, there were more turnovers than there were points. Red Cloud (2-1) held a 14-8 lead at the halftime horn. Harvard (1-3) had committed 12 turnovers while the Warriors had a dozen, too.

"We struggled offensively, but our identity is to play good defense," said Red Cloud head coach Jim Eberly. "If we didn't play good defense in the first half, we're probably blown out of the water."
