Patriots win in double overtime

Toughness might have played a more important role than talent for Adams Central in its double-overtime win against Ord Friday.

The Patriots overcame an early eight-point deficit and pulled out a 77-73 victory over the Chanticleers to improve to 5-1.

AC travels to Gibbon today to face perhaps the best player in Class C-1, Riley Reinertson.

"There were five or six times in the game where we could have folded; could have quit. We never feared the moment. We can't coach that. Our kids are tough-minded and embraced the moment," said Patriot coach Zac Foster.
