Big second half lifts AC

The Adams Central girls hit eight field goals in the first half, falling behind to Ord 32-22 at halftime Friday at Patriot Gym. But the home team had no problems erasing that deficit in the second half.

AC went on a punishing 34-2 run in a 13 1/2 minute span to earn a 58-39 win — its first of the season.

"Yeah, that was an incredible run," said AC head coach Tim Marker. "We've talked so many times about when you score on offense, its really easy to turn around and play defense. Our girls worked hard and talked much better on defense in the second half. It was all them. The girls just played harder."
