HHS girls pick up second win



Hastings High's Elizabeth Franssen is fouled by Cozad's
Becca Etherton Friday night in Hastings.

The Hastings High girls basketball team picked up its second win in a row with a 53-25 decision over Cozad on Friday.

The Tigers (2-3) led just 13-9 after one quarter, but took control of the game by outscoring the Haymakers (1-4) 16-2 in the second quarter.

Libby Knapple and Sophia Pankratz each had 12 points to lead the Tigers. Annie Grealish added eight points while Elizabeth Franssen and Bailey Petzoldt each provided seven.
