KENESAW — The Silver Lake girls basketball team had to shake off some early rust Friday in their 39-29 victory over Kenesaw (1-5).
The Blue Devils jumped out to an 14-7 lead after one quarter, much to the dismay of Silver Lake head coach Keith Crowe.
"We started out really flat. We didn't have a lot of emotion," Crowe said. "Kenesaw hit some early baskets and put us down. We had to regroup a bit. Once we got our head in the game, we started to play better. We just lacked a lot of emotion early on. Once we got a little more fire in us, then we stated playing better. Give Kenesaw credit. They handled our pressure really well."
