ROSELAND — Going into Friday's game against Silver Lake, Bruning-Davenport/Shickley head coach Fred Kluck said his team had struggled shooting the ball. After the Eagles' performance on Friday, Kluck wishes there was a holiday break before every game.
BDS made 26-of-51 field goals in a 68-28 victory over the Mustangs in the Silver Lake Holiday tournament in Roseland. The Eagles hit nine 3-pointers in the win. Kluck said it was his team's defense that opened things up for the offense.
"If we could shoot like that all the time we'd be alright. But the biggest thing was the defense," said BDS head coach Fred Kluck. "We did a nice job defensively and that gives you a little more time to be patient and get started on the offensive end."
