Eagles earn seventh consecutive victory

Classic championship Friday in Roseland.

ROSELAND — Normally, giving up a 13-2 run in the middle of a basketball game isn't a good sign for a team.

Class D-1 No. 4 Bruning-Davenport/Shickley let Alma do just that against it in the second and third quarters. But, that only helped the Cardinals cut the deficit to 11 points.

That's because the Eagles (8-1) were having a lights-out night shooting, hitting on 53 percent of their field goals, including 54 percent from beyond the arc, in a 73-37 blasting of Alma in the championship of the Silver Lake holiday tournament Friday in Roseland.
