ROSELAND — Revenge and redemption. Those things are what the Bruning-Davenport/Shickley girls basketball team was able to accomplish in its showing at the Silver Lake holiday classic.
On Thursday, the Eagles (7-3) got their revenge by completely shutting down Shelton 77-16 — the same team that knocked off BDS in the championship of the same holiday tournament in 2011.
Then the team earned its redemption Friday afternoon, as BDS downed Alma 49-29 to capture the tournament crown.
