Third quarter propels Eagles

ROSELAND — The Bruning-Davenport/Shickley boys basketball team came from behind with seven points in the last 34 seconds of the third quarter en route to a 45-34 victory over Shelton on Saturday in the Silver Lake Holiday tournament championship.

"That was the turning point for us. I think the kids realized that they could put the ball on the floor and (Shelton) was in foul trouble so let's attack them," BDS head coach Fred Kluck said. "We thought, 'Let's see if they back off and let us have an easy one or if they leave the game.' They had some guys foul out and it worked for us."
