Some very familiar faces will join some of today's top charting country artists as headline entertainment at the 2013 FairFest July 17-20 at Adams County Fairgrounds, general manager Sandy Himmelberg announced this morning during a news conference at the fairgrounds.
The Oak Ridge Boys, who first graced the stage at FairFest in 1991 and again in 1994, kick off the grandstand entertainment lineup on Wednesday, July 17. Also among the headliner ranks are Randy Houser on Thursday night; Jerrod Niemann, Friday, with special guest Chase Rice; and Granger Smith and the Randy Rogers Band Saturday. All shows begin at 8:30 p.m.
"Again this year our grandstand entertainment has something for everyone," Himmelberg said. "If you need a Valentine's Day gift idea for someone, call the fairground's office. We will be offering gift certificates for tickets to one or all of the concerts at FairFest 2013."
Best known for their chart-topping signature hit song, "Elvira," from 1981, the Oak Ridge Boys are one of the most enduring acts on the country gospel scene today. Their accolades include 12 gold, three platinum and one double platinum album, more than a dozen No. 1 singles and more than 30 Top-10 hits.
