Elementary School.

JUNIATA — She couldn’t help giggling as she stepped up to the mic.

Evey Kryzsko was anxious to be standing in front of the crowd when asked to spell her first word of the oral competition.
Despite the laughter, the eighth-grader at St. Cecilia Middle School spelled the word ramen correctly. She turned away from the microphone with a fist pump and took her seat.

Near the end of Round 2, Evey was asked to spell her second word: Macaroni.

She laughed again.

“I keep getting noodles,” she chuckled.
