College to improve quality of life in dorms

summer.

As soon as students turn in their keys and walk out for the last time this spring, construction crews will be moving into three of the residence halls at Hastings College.

“It’s an aggressive timeline,” said Susan Meeske, the college’s vice president of enrollment and marketing. “It will be over the summer that we will do it all at once.”

The work that will be done during the four-month summer break includes major renovations to both Bronc and Babcock residence halls with some modest renovations to Taylor Hall.

Much of the improvement on campus in the last decade has focused on academics. Now, Meeske said the college is focusing on the students’ quality of life.
