Adams Central bumps enrollment cap

Adams Central Public Schools has room for more students starting this fall.

The district’s board of education voted Monday to increase the capacity of kindergarten through 12th grade by five students. The motion was approved 4-2 with board members Ryan Weeks, Chad Trausch, Roger Krabel and Randy Kort voting in favor, while Carissa Uhrmacher and Craig Bengtson were opposed.

The current capacity for each grade is graduated, meaning that only 50 students are allowed in kindergarten while 75 are allowed in seventh grade and 85 are allowed in 12th grade.
