For Hastings High wrestling coach Brian Laux, watching his son Nolan walk through the gymnasium doors to participate in his first match as a kindergartner was a moment he'll never forget.
"And ever since then we've been doing it and it's gone real fast," Brian said of his son's career.
Brian and Nolan Laux are one of three pairs of father/son, coach/competitor teams from Hastings who will be in this year's Nebraska state high school wrestling tournament in Omaha Thursday through Saturday.
Adams Central head coach Dan Lonowski is taking his son Derek along with assistant coach Jeff Berry and his son Jack. The juniors are competing in the 152- and 160-pound weight classes respectively.
