HPS board: New weight room may have to wait
The Hastings Board of Education voted Monday to make elementary facilities its main priority by setting stipulations on the proposed weight room facelift at the high school.
In December, the board received first word about a proposal from the Hastings High School Athletic Booster Club to fund the building of a new weight room.
The plan was to raise the funds for the district to build a new 4,000-square-foot weight room adjacent to the new gyms on the north side of the building.
