Several inches could fall in storm beginning Sunday

Hastings Thursday afternoon. More snow is in the forecast
for Sunday afternoon into Monday.

After digging themselves out following Thursday's snowstorm, Tribland residents may need to do some more digging Monday — particularly if they live in Kansas.

Joe Guerrero, meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Hastings, said Friday afternoon forecasts show 1-3 inches of snow to fall in the Hastings area between late Sunday afternoon and Monday morning; 3-5 inches of snow in north central Kansas; and even more is expected further south.

High temperatures Sunday are forecasted to be in the high 20s or low 30s. Guerrero said temperatures will be cooler Monday, struggling to get into the 30s.
