Thayer Central Board selects project

HEBRON — When patrons here go to the polls for the May 13 primary election, they once again will decide whether Thayer Central Community Schools will receive major building upgrades, and with more value than a similar plan that failed in 2012.

Members of the Thayer Central Board of Education voted 6-0 at a special meeting Wednesday to go with a $12.79 million project and $12.97 million bond for improvements such as additional parking, a new gymnasium, new preschool and seven new classrooms in the intermediate building.

It is the most inclusive of three options crafted by W Design Associates of Hastings.
