Inaugural show choir competition exudes 'cool energy'


Still wearing the black tuxedoes and white formal dresses of their exhibition performance, members of Harvard's Cardinal and Black Show Choir led nearly 200 teenagers in "to the left" and "to the right" dance moves as "Cupid Shuffle" pumped in over the loud speakers.

The Hastings Community Theatre was packed Thursday afternoon with parents, teachers and members of the 10 competing show choirs all waiting to hear the results of the inaugural Cardinal and Black Show Choir Competition.

"There was a lot of energy and positive vibes, the kids were having fun," Harvard music director Blake Thompson said.
