EXETER — It was a near role-reversal for Thursday's matchup between Crossroads Conference rivals Giltner and Exeter-Milligan when compared to the previous matchup between the two teams just more than a week ago at the CRC tournament.
In that game, it was the Timberwolves who jumped out to an early lead, only to see the Hornets rally and post the victory.
On Thursday, the Hornets jumped out to an early lead — and had to hold off a late Timberwolves rally to post a 55-51 victory in front of a near-capacity and raucous crowed at the Exeter gymnasium.
"We've had a lot of these types of games, close ones, and I think the guys believe that good things are going to happen," Giltner coach Matt Drew said. "They really trust what everyone is supposed to do."
