Despite both the boys and girls swimming and diving teams going 0-2 on Friday, Hastings High head coach Amber Hoffman couldn't help but be encouraged with her teams' performances in Friday's double dual.
The Tiger boys team fell to North Platte 52-37 and McCook 42-40. North Platte also beat McCook 65-24. The HHS girls team lost to North Platte 53-26 and McCook 56-29. Again, North Platte beat McCook 65-24. Hoffman said the Tigers showed signs of improvement on Friday.
"Everybody did really, really well today," Hoffman said. "Everybody cut off time, and we did exceptionally well — boys and girls, both."
