GRAND ISLAND — The Adams Central wrestling team continued to dominate the competition, winning the Grand Island Central Catholic invitational on Saturday for its fourth consecutive invite championship.
The Patriots tallied 187 1/2 points and crowned three champions on Saturday to take first place by 27 points over second-place finisher Aquinas (160 1/2).
After competing in a home dual on Friday night, Smith Center, Kan., made the trip to Grand Island on Saturday and claimed third place with 152 points. Shelton/Kenesaw finished fifth with 128 points, while Harvard (10) was 11th. St. Cecilia placed 13th after failing to record a point.
