Kenesaw sluggish in tournament win

Silver Lake's Seyler Monroe goes for a rebound in front
of Kenesaw's Austin Schnitzler Wednesday in Kenesaw.

KENESAW — It took until the first two minutes of the fourth quarter for the Kenesaw Blue Devils (9-9) to pull away with a 48-27 victory over the Silver Lake Mustangs (1-15) Wednesday.

The original Twin Valley Conference Tournament game was set to be played on Tuesday, but due to adverse weather conditions across the state, the game had to be pushed back an extra day.

Kenesaw head coach Jack Einrem noticed the rust his team displayed not being able to get into the gym until Wednesday night.

“We played like we had a little rust since we didn’t practice on Tuesday and not playing over the weekend,” Einrem said.
