Defense lifts GICC over St. Cecilia

In any given year, the St. Cecilia and Grand Island Central Catholic boys basketball teams would be meeting in an anticipated top-ten matchup.

But both schools aren't exactly having that type of season.

While the luster of the matchup may not have been as high, the action on the court still had every bit of the intensity this rivalry is known for. The tight, defensive game wasn't decided until the very end, when the Crusaders (11-10) held on for a 39-36 victory Friday night at Chapman gymnasium.
