Sophomore Brooks Asher knocked down six 3-pointers and scored 27 points in the St. Cecilia Bluehawks 58-29 win Saturday over Lincoln Lutheran.
STC (17-4) was never in danger in the game as it jumped out a 12-2 lead in the first few minutes of the first quarter. Asher had eight of the Bluehawks' 15 first quarter points, including a 3-pointer and a three-point play.
The Bluehawks played at a high-pitched pace, using their speed at the guard position to race up and down the court getting numerous fast-break points.
"We really talked about playing faster, a higher speed on offense," STC head coach Kevin Asher said. "Our depth is really strong right now. We're bring six guys off the bench who are really contributing in their own little way. Anytime you can push tempo, you better have depth."
