The second half Saturday went just the way the Hastings College men's basketball team wanted. And that hadn't happened much lately.
The Broncos reeled off 55 points after halftime and cruised to a 95-68 conference victory over Mount Marty at Lynn Farrell Arena.
"In the last five or six games, we've really been dreadful in the second half," HC coach Lance Creech said. "I thought our kids did a really good job of responding. It wasn't so much about X's and O's as it was about mentality, effort and energy. Our kids did a good job of those things."
