Bruckman leads HC women to win

Hastings College's Sierra Williamson shoots against Mount
Marty's Allison De Kam Saturday at Lynn Farrell Arena.

Cami Bruckman registered a career-high 27 points Saturday to help lift the Hastings College women to a 78-65 basketball victory over conference foe Mount Marty Saturday at Lynn Farrell Arena.

Bruckman, a junior guard from Roseland, got hot early and stayed that way while leading the Broncos to the Great Plains Athletic Conference win that avenged a 13-point loss to Mount Marty on Jan. 5.

She finished with 78-percent marksmanship from the floor, going 11-for-14, including 4-for-7 from 3-point land.

"She's been doing a great job of really wanting the ball in situations where we really need a shot," HC coach Carrie Hofstetter said about Bruckman. "She can score in so many ways. She can shoot the three and she can post up and take somebody off the dribble."
